Philosophy

We are learning, through physics and other sciences, that we are all interconnected and inseperable. Rather than being composed of individual atoms and particles the universe can be seen as a system of interacting quantum fields. From the viewpoint of field theory, we are all made of the same cosmic energy that flows through the universe. We learned of the Big Bang that described a singularity that exploded into energy and matter that formed into all things. We have speculated that this singularity may not be a singularity at all but arises due to a process called inflation. As the universe accellerates rapidly, particles dynamically arise from the vacuum. According to String Theory, there may be other spacial dimensions to the universe. While some of the dimensions have expanded, others may have contracted releasing giant amounts of energy. While we are confined to three dimensions other particles may be manifested within higher dimensioned manifolds called branes. It may also be possible that space-time itself is an emergent form arising from these branes. We have expanded these ideas to include the universe as a whole, as a space-time object of all possible paths which forms the basis for all existance.

In the beginning there was emptiness, out of emptiness arose matter, energy, and space-time; this form of emptiness has evolved into a complex ordering allowing for life and consciounsess. Its from these higher dimensioned manifolds that properties of nature begin to arise. When we strip ourselves of all thoughts, conceptions, and the ever persistant mind, emptiness remains. It is the subtle essence through which all things rest upon.

The laws of the universe are governed by symmetry.

When symmetry is broken we get a complex manifestation of different fields.

The universe is percieved through our minds and is therefore a conceptualization.

Metaphysics

The Universe

The universe and everything in it can be considered a system of interacting quantum fields.

The interacting fields of the universe combine to form the basis of our observed reality.

The universe is likely composed of higher dimensioned space-time than we perceive.

There are likely to be a large or infinite number of universes corresponding to the number of possible vacuum states.

The universe is a complex manifestation that has arisen from a simple form.

By looking at aspects of the universe in increasingly greater detail we can gain a deeper understanding of the origins of existence.

Quantum Mechanics

We cannot think of particles as being separate since they interact with each other throughout all space.

Once we observe a particle to be in a particular state we have in essence forced the particle to be in that state.

The uncertainty relation between energy and time allows energy to be created for small fractions of time.

Particles are nothing more than packets of energy arising from the quanta of fields.

Particles are defined by properties such as mass, spin, charge, strangeness, charm, beauty, etc. which we can observe.

Particles can interact over large distances through the exchange of fields.

Symmetry

We can use the symmetry of the universe to understand physical laws.

There are abstract symmetries which determine the structure of the universe.

Abstract symmetries can be thought of as rotations on the internal degrees of freedom of the universe.

The local phase invariance of fields within spacetime can be used to derive all fundamental interactions.

The breaking of symmetry is important in understanding the origins of matter in the universe.

The symmetry of the universe must have been broken in order to give us the fields we observe today.

Symmetry leads to simplicity, non-symmetry leads to complexity and the universe is inherently a very complex place.

Symmetry makes things beautiful, non-symmetry allows things to exist.

Space Time

Space and time is multi-dimensional and contains the universe as well as the time evolution of the universe.

As space expands time expands and the distance between two space-time points is zero for a particle traveling the speed of light.

Causality is dictated by the fact that nothing can travel faster than light but it is likely that nature is not actually causal.

There are density fluctuations from the early universe that apear acousal.

Space-time is accelerating outward at an increasing rate with no apparent limits or boundaries.

The geometry of spacetime is not flat but curved leading to a nonlinear structure of spacetime.

It is unlikely that the universe contains any singularities and there is likely to be a limit to the curvature of space-time based on quantum mechanics.

Early Universe

The universe does have a beginning but it is unreachable from our standpoint in space-time.

The initial state of the universe was likely to have a very warped geometry such that we can no longer think of time in the linear sense.

This curvature of space-time means that time slows down in the early universe such that as we approach the beginning of time we can never actually get there.

The early universe was likely to be filled with a massless gauge field, i.e. pure light, that contained all the known forces and interactions in an incredibly dense quantum field.

The fields that we observe today have arisen out of massless gauge fields due to the spontaneous symmetry breaking of the early universe.

We can begin with a massless scalar field defined with zero temperature and zero energy, and due to density fluctuations and symmetry breaking, create the universe we see today.

The universe was initially massless, with zero total energy, zero spin, and zero entropy, in a completely coherent quantum state of emptiness.

It is not necessary to say the universe was created since it is possible the universe is a result of self manifestation.

Infinite Paths

A particle does not travel a simple path between two points but rather all possible paths that connect those two points.

Quantum mechanically a particle will travel all paths equally, but the path observed is due to the phase differences of these paths.

All possible paths evolve from the same origin and lead to the same outcome.

Energy in the form of pure light is constantly splitting and fragmenting into matter particles in a way that follows all possible paths.

There may be many possible paths that lead to vastly different outcomes but there is only one observable path.

All possible universes come into existence merely by probability weighted by the vacuum landscape.

All possible universes must share the same origin which is emptiness.

Conscious Energy

It is possible that what we define as self, originates within the quantum structure of the universe.

We are all composed of 99% baryonic matter which is inanimate and lifeless and yet we have consciousness.

The fact that we have consciousness would imply that energy itself can have consciousness.

We cannot deny that matter has formed the capability of intellect and reason as demonstrated by the minds of complicated life forms.

Energy may have quantum-dynamical implications of intelligence not yet known.

Consciousness arose out of matter and energy which in turn arose out of emptiness.
